The ROBO 3D R1 Plus Fully Assembled 3D Printer

The Robo 3D Printer is a very good printer but because of it's rather low price, It needs a bit of upgrading and modding because there are a few issues connected with the X axis and the Z axis.
The upgrades usually make it work better than before so the problems get solved very easiley and quickly. This particular printer has a wide spectrum of reviews ranging from very bad to perfect. I would say that this printer is in it's way very good (especially in the price range that it is sold at). It looks very stylish which makes the printer very nice to have sitting on the desk or a workbech. Robo 3D community is amazing in aspects. They will help you in everything and whenever I had a problem, a forum moderator would always reach to me and help me find a way to fix it or would navigate me to a post that explains my problem. I have to say that this printer prints "ok" out of the box but tweaks and upgrades make it work better, this is a reason why not everyone can be happy with one. Most mods and upgrades force you to open up the whole printer and add/change a few things. I really like the fact that the print volume is very big (10"x9"x8"). Not many printers at this price offer such a big print volume without loosing out on the quality.
Another great thing about my Robo is that there never is a problem with quality even with very long prints. I like that this printer is capable of printing at very high speeds with very small loss in quality. I'm also capable of leaving it running during the night because the noise level is not that high (it's not dead silent but it is silent enough not to disturb me. The heated bed works very well to make the prints more sticky.
A big down side of this printer is that I had some problems in the beginning that took a few weeks to fix. I had to start modding and upgrading the printer but I wasn't sure what was causing the problems. I decided to ask on the forums and I got the solutions very quickly. All the fixes I did were very cheap but the fact that I had to wait until they get shipped was boring and I was very tempted to use the printer but I couldn't. The most expensive upgrade was a new hotend (E3D V6), I chose to upgrade the hotend because the old one wasn't printing flexible and wood filaments easiley (now it does it with no problem)
Overall the ROBO 3D is a printer recommended for Intermediates because of the need to fix some problems but other than that there is nothing to complain about, all the parts have a good mechanical resolution, it can do up to 100 microns which is more than enough for many peoples needs.
I'm glad that I got my Robo because I'm pretty sure that I would not get anything better for a smaller price.
